So back when i had a desktop i bought a headset very similiar(if not the same) as the one in the link bellow

It all work great since it had two audio jacks until i changed to a laptop which only had the 4 pin audio jack(one for microphone) so i headed up to a store and bought a splitter
the thing is only the audio works, or the microphone(if take off the splitter and connect the 3 pin microphone to the 4 audio jack of the pc) in windows 10 i had solved it temporarily with realtek driver settings but windows being windows it updated the driver and along with the settings which meant it broke it again. I got angry so i installed arch linux a few months ago
The problem still remains only audio works throught the splitter
Now that i see a friend with a similar problem i would like to know the solution
Its not a hardware problem ive tested it on my pc and others and everything works fine if tested individually
And soft fixes(rebooting, reinstalling, updating) wont work ive mostly tested all of them for a period of 4-7 months

ive managed to reduce the problem, by doing the following:
my laptop has a internal microphone(that is really crappy but hey it just werks), i go to audio settings and set the profile to: analog stereo duplex and the output to simultaneous output to internal stereo analog sound
then i just remove the 4 pin jack and slowly put it back(if it fails retry it the trick is to put 3 pins in slowly and then the fourth quickly)
Although a better answer would come like roses since the audio is really loud(to the point where to not be ear rape i have to put it at 40% and people still say they have to lower my volume because its ultra loud)
