PROBLEM
======
When trying to print [File>Print...] from "Writer Document",
LO hangs (solid) at a "Print preview" screen.
Whether on
Printer Setup>Properties>Device>Printer language type:
Automatic:PDF or PostScript (Level from driver) or PSL 1, 2 or 3

I suggest to check system logs for cues (with journalctl). If there's nothing relevant there you could start the program (i.e. libreoffice) from a command line and see if it produces any logs when attempting to print a document.

Thanks Raindev,
I’d appreciate it if you’d help me by being more specific about "check system logs for cues (with journalctl)"
i.e., which file(s) to examine, what exact command(s), etc. (btw, I have "debug2").
Btw, running LO from a command line (I assume in 'xterm') does not produce any output (errors, etc.) on hitting Print;
it would just have to subsequently kill the frozen (hung) program by Ctrl-C.
