[SOLVED] netctl-auto connects but does not display current network

For many months I have been using netctl-auto with no problems. Recently, though, the command

$ netctl-auto list

has not listed the available networks nor indicated the current network. It seems to do nothing at all. No error message or anything. Despite this, the actual service seems to be working correctly: I am automatically connected to my home network, my school network, or my hot-spot, depending on which is available on boot. What could be wrong here?
