[solved] faster way of --overwriting files with pacman

Hey guys, I'm running into a familiar issue - somewhere along the line, my thunar install got corrupted and removed from my installed list of packages,
and when I go to reinstall via pacman -S, I get the following:

error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)

along with an enormous amount of files that conflict with the install. Now, considering that all of these files are specific to my thunar install, I would like to use the
--overwrite flag to get rid of the files, as specified in https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pa … 9.22_error

The problem with this, however, is that there is a truly MASSIVE amount of files to overwrite, with many in different locations. Considering I have to specify a glob whenever I use --overwrite,
is there a better way of just bypassing all of the conflicting files and reinstalling, similar to the old --force option? Or do I have to sit here for an hour and manually delete all of these files?

Ideally, install the old version with --dbonly, then upgrade.

But if that still fails, note that --overwrite takes globs.
