Redshift disable adding temperature

Hi, this question may be unrelated to arch, I'm using redshift to adjusts the display's color temperature, one problem is that I want redshift to use command redshift -O 4100 once and I later use redshift -O 4500, but the temperature keep adding more and more, I remember this doesn't occur on debian, it will reset and change to which color temperature I type, on arch it keep non stop adding when i type -O command, one solution I tried is to use redshift -x && redshift -O 4000, reset color and set temperature.
anyone knows how to fix this?

Hi. I've been using Arch for nearly a decade, and I've never had to ask a question on the forums. I think this is very telling of the expert-level information that's available (as opposed to my multitude of forum posts with other distros).
I used Redshift years ago, just installed on my new system to use it again, and couldn't remember any configuration methods. I searched and stumbled across your post, and vaguely remembered something about a command to reset between each new color, but couldn't think of what it was. After looking around, I'm fairly certain the only viable command is:

redshift -x

That's the only method, as far as I know. Even setting back to 6500k won't work, without first resetting with -x

      -O TEMP
              One-shot manual mode (set color temperature).  Use this with the -P option to clear the existing gamma ramps before applying the new color temperature.
