[SOLVED] Webcam not found...

Hi, I'm trying to revive an old Dell Latitude E5510. Baseline setup rocks and for instance browsing with Chrome is great, even on this old machine. Now I also want to enable/use my webcam. There is no /dev/video device and I tried to use Kamoso (running KDE Plasma) to check if my webcam runs. Nothing. What can I do. lsusb also doesn't show anything looking like a webcam. Any help much appreciated. Regards, Zach.

Re: [SOLVED] Webcam not found...

check dmesg for error messages (and maybe your BIOS/UEFI maybe the webcam is hard disabled there)

Re: [SOLVED] Webcam not found...

Hi V1del, I had to update the BIOS of this old beast to be able to find a webcam switch. Now I can use the cam again. Thx for your help. Regards, Zach
