[SOLVED] Using "open file" menu in libreoffice and chromium freezes...
Overall fixed by installing nautilus ; which sway was able to feed to the programs.
LibreOffice fixed by changing tools > options > libreoffice > general > Open/Save Dialog

Hi all!
When I try to use the "open file" dialog in libreoffice and chromium they both freeze then crash.
I can still open files in them through my file manager(Polo) no problem.
Any ideas? Can I tell them to use a diffrent file explorer?

Sway uses wayland, perhaps a wayland issue? I am not a wayland user so cannot offer advice there but perhaps someone else can.

No clue about chromium, but maybe for libreoffice.
Check Tools > options > libreoffice > general .
Just below "Open/Save Dialogs" there's a checkbox that tells LO to use its built-in dialog or those of the environment (gtk / qt etc) it's run in.
Try changing it.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?

Seems I can narrow this issue down to being with my system file dialog.
I'll look into seeing if Chromium as a similar built-in one.
