Hello fellow Arch Gamers!
I have been having trouble with Steam for a few days now, specifically since the March 26th update. I am unable to use the application since the SteamWebHelper process uses all the available RAM and Swap then hangs the computer. The only way to regain control is to kill SteamWebHelper and quickly close the Steam Client.
I can provide any system information or log needed, I just don't know which one to, especially for logs.

How do you run steam?
Hello! I tried a couple methods. I usually use a shortcut to Steam Runtime, but tried Steam Native. I also tried launching it from the command line, both Runtime and Native, but with no different result.

Update: I found some people with the same problem, even on Windows.

I have also contacted Steam Support, but their response time is slower than usual these days.

I've had this problem since they new UI was released ... and I might've stumbled upon a "solution". I saw a similar bug regarding Chromium and tried that solution, to uninstall noto-fonts. After I uninstalled noto-fonts I've not had any problems at all, and the steamwebhelpers use very little resources. They used to be using quite some resources at all time. It might just be a fluke, but it's worth a try. https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=241964
