I upgraded to fbpanel 4.5-1 (from community) and saw a very strange behavior.
Then I recompiled fbpanel without patch from community (which was for 4.3, and also works in 4.5), but the behavior remains the same.
I also deleted some hacks in with STATIC_PLUGINS (needed in 4.3 because of bad support for gcc4)
I'm running openbox + fbpanel (I tried default configuration, because I thought it's something wrong with my panel layout).
Steps to reproduce:
- run openbox+fbpanel (maybe some other wm doesn't have this bug, but I'm pretty sure it's somewhere in fbpanel)
- open a window (a urxvt terminal in my case)
- go to another desktop (openbox is smart, there are no windows on this desktop, but fbpanel's pager will show on this desktop same windows as in first desktop)
- repeat for all desktops
- in screenshot you also can see that there are 2 active windows : one on first desktop and another one on last.
Is it me, or there are people with same problem ?

Looks like fbpanel bug: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.ph … tid=513125
I tried reordering in .xinitrc and it still doesn't work ![]()

I wrote the patch being applied in the AUR version over 2 years ago, still has not been applied in the source package, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with my patch, fbpanel is just buggy.
Although, I must say I've not tested it much, I wrote it for the 3.7 (or so) release and just did enough massaging to keep it alive through some of the earlier 4 series. I don't remember upping it to 4.3 (like in AUR), maybe someone else did it. In any case, I no longer use fbpanel, and the fact the developer is SO SLOW in doing anything I wouldn't expect my patch to be applied nor this bug to go away any time soon, unless you find it yourself.

For an up-to-date and bugfixed version I recommend lxpanel. It is a fork of fbpanel that is actually being worked on.
Other than that, OpenBox works quite good without any panel at all. ![]()

Nice. Upload it to the AUR or pick up the orphaned svn-package, will you? ![]()
