Long application startup time

Hi everyone,

It takes super long to start my qutebrowser after each reoot. It takes about 20 seconds before the browser window appears on my screen. For firefox, it takes about 8 seconds which I believe is too long too. Any ideas what may be causing this and what I can do to improve startup time? For other applications, I'm not sure if it's especially slower than it should be. It's with the browsers that I felt a noticeable difference.

strace an application launch (and post the output in [ code ] [ /code ] tags without spaces) to determine where it hangs. FWIW there's a little too little information here. E.g. if you are not on an SSD you cannot realistically get this much faster. A browser is one of the biggest "daily" applications you can launch, with all the capabilities they have to have you are basically starting up another operating system.
