Hellos,
I have just dual booted arch with windows 10 and after a lot of difficulties I got GDM running on xorg. The problem is now my trackpad (windows precision) doesnt work correctly. I can click but not move it. It is worth mentioning that the first time I booted GDM it was working correctly but the machine froze after logging in. Now that issue is fixed.
I have scoured the forums and installed libinput etc but to no avail .
Output of xinput:
⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)]
⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ CUST0001:00 06CB:CDAA Touchpad id=11 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ Logitech G502 HERO Gaming Mouse id=12 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ Logitech G502 HERO Gaming Mouse Consumer Control id=14 [slave pointer (2)]
⎣ Virtual core keyboard id=3 [master keyboard (2)]
↳ Virtual core XTEST keyboard id=5 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Power Button id=6 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Video Bus id=7 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Video Bus id=8 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Power Button id=9 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Sleep Button id=10 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Logitech G502 HERO Gaming Mouse Keyboard id=13 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ Logitech G502 HERO Gaming Mouse System Control id=15 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ AT Translated Set 2 keyboard id=16 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ MSI WMI hotkeys id=17 [slave keyboard (3)]As you can see the touchpad shows up. I believe that it has something to do with the contents of xorg.conf.d as earlier that folder was empty and neither the keyboard or the mouse was working. But I might be wrong.
I understand people have faced these issues before but I am only posting here as a last resort.
Thanks !
Edit: Fixed it by installing libinput and blacklisting i2c_hid
