Non Arch package - issues with bash [SOLVED]

Hi all,

These days, for all very well known speed/bloat reasons, I'm moving back everything to Arch - BUT:
I got a commercial application that works on my SuSE/AMD64 machines. Arch doesn't want to even begin installing.
Help on why this isn't working needed and will be appreciated, since my bash skills are very low (here, Linux="suitable tool" and !=profession wink ).

Thanks and cheers,
Mladen

EDIT: hmm... looks like it IS too long...

Install script is as follows (my apologies if way too long for this forum  ):
EDIT: code removed - too big to fit

Re: Non Arch package - issues with bash [SOLVED]

Application is called ANSYS (www.ansys.com).
It is used in Mechanical, Fluid, Electromagnetic..... engineering. It utilizes so called FEA method to calculate stress, displacement, fluid, pressures etc. fields in respective domains. And much more...

My issue is that it works in SuSE 64-bit. I was expecting problems regarding graphical libs at runtime, but it doesn't even begin to install in Arch.
If I do "vi INSTALL" (above files' name), it immediately complains on syntax!
Sure, something doesn't comply, but it's #!/bin/sh !? I tried some corrections, with the net result in asking for help 8) . It's above my head right now.

Thanks for your interest! I'll find some place to upload the file!

Cheers!

EDIT: file is here:
EDIT: problem resolved, so I removed the link.

System is: Arch64 on Dual Opteron 250, 4GB RAM, 2x36GB raptors in RAID0 + 1 data HD, Quadro fx 1100 etc.

Re: Non Arch package - issues with bash [SOLVED]

Seems installation went right with "./INSTALL - TEXT". Never used this option before (didn't even know it's available, until saw it in the INSTALL).

I normally go via GUI - which reminded me that I'd need tcl/tk. So, I pacmaned it, but GUI still doesn't work... Might need few more thingies installed.
It'd be nice get to the bottom of it.

Cheers,
Mladen

Re: Non Arch package - issues with bash [SOLVED]

Sorted. ...almost 100%.

App is installed and I can do my calcs, but still some fonts tweaking remains.
I'm surprised I didn't get any Mesa related issues  lol, as these usually creep in in SuSE! Seems pacman -S lestiff did the trick!

Thanks and cheers,
Mladen
