GDM looks different when locked vs when logged out

Hello!
I've noticed recently that my lock screen and logout screen are looking quite different. I have pictures on these links:

I'm wondering why this is happening, and maybe how to make the logout screen look the same as the lock screen. I've looked on the GDM troubleshooting page of the wiki and tried unpacking my gdm theme to set a background and that did nothing.
I've also tried looking in tweaks and settings to find no option to change the lock screen background such as there would be on Ubuntu.
Any help is appreciated.

Re: GDM looks different when locked vs when logged out

The screen locker and the display manager are different processes.
Gnome might imitate the GDM look, the KDE screen locker SDDM, … but that's it.

=> figure what screen locker you actually use. Check the wiki page for your desktop session.
