Hello!
I recently got an issue on my Thinkpad T480.
I run arch linux on it and i have fully updated to the latest updates.
I got an issue I can't explain why/how it happens or what it exactly is.
I will add a picture. Screenshots turn up clear.

Are you using xf86-video-intel? Have you tried without it?

I went looking in the compositor settings.
it was configured to use OpenGL 2.0
I changed this to OpenGL 3.1, and then restarted my laptop.
The issue seems to be fully solved.
Thanks for helping me solve this bug fully.
