[SOLVED] Video and audio media playing slower than real time

Hey,
I started having this problem last Saturday when watching netflix with a friend on two computers, I noticed my video was playing slower and they were drifting apart.
I later tried with mpv and got the same problem. I timed the playback with different clocks over a few minutes and it takes apparently 1 minute and 1 second to play 1 minute.
I was wondering if this was only for videos, but this also happens with Clementine when playing FLAC or MP3.

The system clock is ok though.

According to some on IRC it could be some FPS issue with mpv but it doesn't only happen with mpv and I didn't see anything in the stats, what could it be?

Thanks

Re: [SOLVED] Video and audio media playing slower than real time

I managed to solve the issue by downgrading the kernel from 5.6.6-arch1-1 to 5.4.34-1 via the linux-lts package.
I had to install also nvidia-390xx-lts so I'm not sure which one was causing the problem.

Re: [SOLVED] Video and audio media playing slower than real time

Update here since nvidia-390xx-lts has been orphaned in the AUR, I had to install the nouveau driver.
Turns out the problem is still gone with nouveau, so the kernel must be the problem.

I tried a combination of 5.4.36 / nouveau and I got delay again.
So now I'm staying on 5.4.34 / nouveau and will hopefully fill a bug report.
