Last udev (100-1) and kernel 2.6.16

Because the 2.6.17 and 2.6.18 kernels have a strange behaviour with my cpu, i don't want to upgrade to the last kernel.

Is it possible to run the last udev with a 2.6.16 kernel ?

Thanks !

I'm using a custom compiled 2.6.16-ck1 kernel and it works fine.
