Monitor won't connect to laptop Arch KDE

I recently installed KDE in Arch, and at first I was able to connect to my monitor just fine. Now when I try to connect the monitor doesn't connect, and when I open KDE Display settings, it shows the monitor connecting for a few seconds, then disconnecting for a few seconds, over and over. I know that it isn't a problem with the computer or monitor because it works fine in Ubuntu MATE on the same laptop. How do  I go about fixing this?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Monitor won't connect to laptop Arch KDE

So what changed between then and now?

How do  I go about fixing this?

First, provide some actual information.
Please post the output of "xrandr -q" and "sudo journalctl -b" after failing to connect the output.

Re: Monitor won't connect to laptop Arch KDE

That's not the journal, that's the journals head.
You can use the tip from https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pastebin

So you've eDP-1 (4k) and DP-1 (Full HD), latter isn't active.
What happens for

xrandr --output DP-1 --auto --right-of eDP-1

or just

xrandr --output DP-1 --auto

Also see https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/HiDPI for issues around mixed HiDPI outputs, mitigation strategies etc.
