Problem with IBM X60S with sata

Well - I just got myself a new Laptop - IBM X60S.
And really trying to install Arch on it.

But having some really big issues.
Well I have a Extern CDrom wich has the base install CD in - But the drive cannot be found even though It boots directly on it`????
Well I try to mount the cd manually but with out luck - no matter what - no media found.

When I try a FTP install - I cannot load the module for the network - so does anybody have an clue about this ??? Or have anybody trieds this before????

I have seen some of the other oages in wiki - about installing arch from another distro or live CD - But not quite sure about this - I would like just a normally clean install - Som any ideas are welcome???

THanks
