Force Gnome apps to sort like KDE apps

I use KDE/Plasma 5 as my DE, and Dolphin as my file manager. It's an old habit of mine to put dashes in front of filenames if I want them to appear at the very beginning of sorting files by name.

However, Gnome apps completely ignore special characters and consider only alphanumerics, breaking this behavior.

Is there a way to force Gnome apps to use the same sorting KDE apps use?

Looks like gnome doesn't support such an option and hasn't for a very long time.
Here's a bugreport from 2006 : https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=355152

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
