changing X.org screen resoultion to use fullscreen in a hyperv VM

I have installed arch linux as a VM in windows10 HyperV.

I managed to change the screen resolution by setting the following as grub parameter

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash video=hyperv_fb:1600x900"

Above provided fullscreen for text command prompt but if I startx I am not able to set the gui resolution to 1600x900
and not using the fullscreen.

May be I am missing video drivers? not sure!

Any help will be appreciated much!

please convert these to thumbnails or links.

These do show that you did not install the fbdev driver that's recommended to be used in that link.
