Running blueman and PulseAudio.
uname:
Linux pluto 5.6.3-arch1-1 #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed, 08 Apr 2020 07:47:16 +0000 x86_64 GNU/LinuxI have headphones that can do both A2DP and HSP.
My Android phone connects to both at the same time, so I can either use the microphone or listen to high quality audio.
It seems that with my Linux setup I have to switch between the two.
Can I connect to both profiles at the same time and use both A2DP output and the microphone?
Will be happy to provide whatever more output will help understand my situation
Thanks!

Your phone doesn't connect to both at the same time, it switches as well. What your phone might have is a better HSP codec, but these are proprietary and free implementations don't really exist yet, see the following similar thread for some background information: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=255178

It makes sense that it switches by itself. I might want to find a quicker way to do this then.

If your question is just about automating the switching behaviour when you intend to use the microphone, you can adjust pulse configuration to pass the relevant option to the bluetooth module: https://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Softwa … pmoreoften

Interesting read, thanks.
I have other recording sources (laptop builtin mic) so the profile doesn't switch automatically, but I'll mess around with it.
