E16 is in main repos ... Aur maybe but that looks more like cvs stuff

Anyone use it out there maybe let me know how to get started (please!)

Re: E17 in repos?

I don't use it, but a simple forum search comes up with this:

[takhis]
Server = ftp://takhis.net/arch

I guess the repo should have enough packages to get you started

Founix's repo is massively outdated, the takhis one has all the current stuff. Last I checked anyway... People maintaining E17 repos seems to vanish mysteriously after a few months. :?

Did you relogin, or source /etc/profile?

Re: E17 in repos?

Hi,

I messed with Snowman's repo release and was able to get E17 started by executing 'startx' after I added the exec in my .xininrc file. I also removed the rest of the auto load too - xterm, clock etc.

To start e17, I have:

/opt/e17/bin/enlightenment_start

in my .xinitrc

Re: E17 in repos?

themese are avilable here
http://www1.get-e.org/Themes/E17/
although there are few available right now.
I could not get the newer ones to work with community version, might try latest cvs soon as 'darkness' theme looks pretty good!
