Thumbnails in Konq/Thunar..

Hi, i'm trying to get thumbnails for all my video files in Konqueror and Thunar.
I discovered Konqueror thumbnails several files but not all.
I'm curious why it does this and how i can make it show thumbnails everything.

In Ubuntu, Nautilus shows thumbnails for every video-file i've encountered (.mov, .wmv, .mpg, .rm, ..) so it's Konqueror-related i think.

This is the last hurdle that's keeping me away from Arch and once this is fixed, i'm kissing Ubuntu and Windows goodbye, so please help me big_smile

If you have problems with genuine thumbnail generator, you could try this. Please note that even with sub file extension blacklisted, it caused me some problems at least in one case, unfortunately. Maybe the syntax of blacklisting was different than I thought ;-)

Re: Thumbnails in Konq/Thunar..

As far as thunar goes, it needs to be compiled with thumbnail support. If you're using shadowhand's svn package, it is disabled (--disable-gnome-thumbnailers).

How do you use that mplayerthumbnail thing? I can't get any thumbnails.

Re: Thumbnails in Konq/Thunar..

Look in konqi's settings. There is a maximum filesize for thumbnails. Also, it uses mplayer (I think) so some files just don't work.
