Is there any problem with extra repos last few days? Every time I do "pacman -Syu" I get
failed downloading extra.db.tar.gz from ftp.archlinux.org: Input/output error
error: could not cwd to /pub/archlinux/extra/os/i686/: 550 Failed to change directory.

I have tried dissabling mirrors, moving upper the clossest first but nothing. At the end extra repository fails to sync. As I can see from this line
failed downloading extra.db.tar.gz from ftp.archlinux.org: Input/output error
I can't get that file even from ftp.archlinux.org. What can I do?

Is your disk full, by chance?

Here is my disks space
[insane@arch ~]$ df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda1 74G 37G 34G 53% /
/dev/hda1 20G 173M 19G 1% /tmp
/dev/hda3 163G 29G 126G 19% /storage
/var/lib/pacman.db 146M 20M 126M 14% /var/lib/pacman
Something I noticed was that I tried the pacman_cage script http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php? … light=cage twice and so I had twice the following line
/var/lib/pacman.db /var/lib/pacman ext2 loop,defaults 0 0
in /etc/fstab so /var/lib/pacman was mounted twice. I commented one of them and rebooted but still the problem persist. I also tried e2fsck from arch boot CD on sda1 which is ext3.
Edit:
Ok. I used pacman-uncage script from the link above and extra works again. So I guess it's a problem to investigate to that thread.
Thank you phrakture for pointing me to the right direction .
