I have xfce4-power-manager.
It's set to turn off screen after 2 minutes when AC is unplugged but it's turning off after different time, so I believe that something more.
I've found similar topic on the forum but there is an information how to disable screenoff permanently by:
xset s off
I did that but now screen is always on.
xfce4-power-manager dim function doesn't work too.

xset -dpms
After xset -dpms it took about 3-5 minutes and screen was off. Not completely. Screen is black but witch backlit on.
