[SOLVED] How to load FontAwesome glyphs before actual font.

I recently tried to use one of the music icons from font-awesome in by i3 setup, but it instead I saw a 2 8s .
I dug a bit deeper and found that it was glyph from DevaVuSans.
How do I make i3(or fontconfig) use fontawesom as the first font to load glyphs from?

Thanks! I was actually looking for a way to do it using some fontconfig magic, but this works absolutely perfect.
I guess I didnt really know all the possible ways to make this happen.
