I decided to make wine work on my pc and therefore I tried to install a game (rugby2001 from EA sport).
Installation was OK but when I tried to start the game I got following message:

Wine is like anything else in computers: what breaks first is where your attention is needed. Download ntoskrnl.exe and install it in your system32 folder in the Wine directory ( .wine in your user home directory). Then try again and see if anything else breaks.
EDIT:
I recommend that if you have success or not to post what happens in the application database over at winehq.org. There is currently no listing for this program yet, and posting can do a lot of good.

If you've got a Windows installation somewhere you should be able to find these files in "windows/system32".

Sadly, most games don't yet work with wine. Also note that using any part of Windows without a license is the same as pirating a copy of Windows. :-/

SECDRV.SYS part of SafeDisc CD protection scheme (some games use it)
i'd say you're not going to get this game to work.

At least a clear message? Isn't really nothing to do?

Sorry, but windows is forbidden on my computer

if wine is trying to tackle a cd-protection scheme it's most likely not going to work, as that stuff probably isn't implemented in wine. :-/

Most people that have that problem (even those that have legal originals ) use a a nocd-crack.
You could try installing windows in a Virtual Machine with something like vmware server.
Copy protected cd's usually work in a vm.
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Just Google search for 'download ntoskrnl.exe'. Which leads to...

Yeah. The EU can't figure out what to do with the MPlayer project for that reason. Fortunately, they're pussyfooting around long enough to give them time to implement native drivers. Man, the Czech and Hungarian embrace of freedom plus Europe's apathy helps Linux be so much more interesting.
