PAM for vlock

I occasionally get into the snag I described here how to disable or undo nnn Lock , and I can easily reproduce this snag in any terminal without opening nnn, but instead just issuing vlock -c, which starts the repeated attempt by vlock to authenticate with PAM. which repeatedly fails.

Is there anything I can do in Arch to get vlock to talk to PAM so that I can, for example, then just hit Enter or give my user account password to get out of the locked state?
