Monitor switch off and on randomly

Hi All,

first of all, thanks for the nice forum. I'm reading and reading and reading ...because I'm new with Arch and Linux in general.
I learned a lot from installing and configuration of my Arch System - or better, I learned a lot from the awesome wiki.
But now I face an issue with my monitor and I didn't know where I have to search for a fix/answere or what could be the problem.

My Monitor switch off and on randomly.
My mouse doesn't run smoothly either - a bit laggy.

I expect that a wrong driver is loaded but:

I have no idea what the problem could be.
Anyone an idea?

What does that mean exactly?
Is it slow all the time? Is it rather jumpy than slow? Does it lag only when you start moving the mouse and then catches up?
What is that mouse exactly and how is it wired (usb, bluetooth, unifying receiver, …)?

About the monitor switching off: screensaver or DPMS? (So it would be "triggered" by inactivity) - check "xset q" for the current state and timeouts.
