Sound quality confirmed OK on this new laptop (Asus Zenbook 15 UX533F) on Windows 10 and booting puppy linux from USB. So far with Arch + KDE, the best way I can describe it is it sounds like a really old, worn out, muffled cassette tape.
As far as I can tell alsa and pulseaudio are operating and doing *something* but I can't seem to get quality fixed.
I believe I have reasonable volumes set in the alsamixer.
PulseAudio wiki page mentions making sure module-device-manager is loaded for KDE plasma workspaces. It wasn't loading automatically so I added an entry to /etc/pulse/default.pa. Still no change.
I have gone through the audio quality section of the pulseaudio troubleshooting page. These tweaks did not seem to have an effect.
Relevant outputs below. Any ideas on what to try next?

Not sure what happened but I reinstalled pulseaudio and things seem good.
