Hi, I'm using Gnome Boxes, when I try to start the machine after the installation it crashes:

These logs aren't from the same timeframe, so it's not possible to correlate what (could have) happened: the libvirtd log states "active (running) since Mon 2020-05-25 19:50:03" but the boxes log ends *before* that: "2020-05-25 18:45:01.821+0000: shutting down, reason=failed". Can you post logs that are from the same timeframe? Use journalctl to grab logs from previous timeframes.

I guess it's because I was using Virt-Manager too. Here the journalctl:

Don't spoon-feed information - describe *exactly* what you did. Can you reproduce the problem starting the guest using Virt-Manager? Have you ever been able to start the guest? If not, Gnome-Boxes isn't going to either. If you are able to start the guest through other means, that would be very important to mention.
By the way: that journalctl snippet still does not match the timeframe from your boxes log in first post.

Virt-Manager works fine, I used it for a while, I checked it now again and it works perfectly. Now I switched from XFCE to Gnome, so I've started to use Gnome-Boxes, and I could start the machine the first time after the creation and installation, but after reboot, the machine doesn't start. Any time that I start a new machine for installation it works fine, then it doesn't start, it shows me the log immediately.
No idea about the match of the timeframe...

Oh, I forgot to check that. Yes, it is flagged out of date, the version is 3.36.0-1 and the gnome-boxes on flatpak is 3.36.3. And it seems that gnome recommends to install gnome-boxes from flatpak, and it makes more sense as long as the archlinux version is flagged out of date. So I installed it from flatpak and it's working perfectly. Thanks for the warning ![]()
