External 1440p 144Hz monitor not working over HDMI

Hey guys, first post here, after lurking for quite some time, the forums were always super helpful, so I decided to try my luck.

So I've got an XPS 9570, with the 1050ti Max Q GPU. I run hybrid graphics via optimus manager. Yesterday I purchased a new monitor, the Viewsonic VX2758.
I run a dual boot with Win10, to play some occasional games that don't run via Proton/WINE. I booted into Win10, and the monitor worked at 1440p 144Hz, not before crashing my laptop (lol).
Then I booted into Arch and lo and behold, the monitor doesn't even work. It just displays "No signal". I've tried using arandr to set the monitor's resolution and it won't work at 2560x1440. I've also tried xrandr, to no avail.

But when I set the resolution to 1920x1080 (my laptop's resolution), it starts working. Everything is blurry since it's downscaled, and it runs at 60Hz.
I've done this in i3, also tried XFCE, the problem is the same. The monitor still outputs "No signal" and nothing works.

I am 100% sure I'm plugging it in the HDMI 2.0 port, and I would be able to compromise with 1440p@60Hz for the laptop, I just want it to work at full resolution.
At work, I have a Dell Ultrasharp, which runs at 1440p@60Hz, my laptop works fine with it via HDMI, and I also have a 4k@60Hz monitor connected to it via USB-C, it also works flawlessly.
It's just the Viewsonic monitor that isn't working for me. I  can't test display port, since I only have a single HDMI port on my laptop.

The monitor will be mostly used with my PC, which has a RX 5700XT, that's why I've ordered such a beefy monitor, I just want my laptop to output to it so I can work from home normally.

Anybody else encountered the same issue?

kernel: 5.6.14-arch1-1
GPU: Intel UHD630 with mesa drivers/Nvidia GTX 1050ti MaxQ with proprietary drivers
Laptop: XPS 9570, running 1080p@60Hz
