[SOLVED] External VGA monitor blurred

Hello,

I have a laptop and when I put it on a docking station, there are two external monitors connected, while the built in display is disabled.
I've managed that with xrandr and autorandr profiles. Works perfectly fine.

One monitor is connected with DisplayPort cable and the other one with VGA cable.

The one connected via VGA is blurred.
xrandr shows that it runs at 1920x1200 @ 59,95 Hz.

I know that this happens with cheap VGA cables so I purchased a 'good one' with minimal length (1,5m)
This one here: https://www.amazon.de/KabelDirekt-Kabel … B00FQK41KE

It says 1080p 3D up to 2560 x 1600.
So I guess it should work properly?

Is there anything I could do to get rid of that blurry image?

I know that VGA is not a preferred coice these days, but I need to connect two external monitors.
And the docking station offers only Display Port + VGA. There is also a DVI connector but then DisplayPort doesn't work anymore.
So for the first display I can choose between DisplayPort and DVI and for the second one the only choice is VGA.

Re: [SOLVED] External VGA monitor blurred

Problem solved !

Seems like there is nothing I could do to make the VGA image better.

But I did some research and it is possible to use the DisplayPort from the docking station for the first monitor and the miniHDMI output on the laptop itself for the second monitor.
That's an extra cable I have to plug in every time but I can live with that.
