Limit GPU usage for Folding at Home process

Hello,

I have a quite good computer (AMD Ryzen 2700X, Nvidia GeForce 1080Ti) but when I run folding at home application, the GPU is used 100% and my mouse is lagging. I can watch movies, youtube streams and so on without problems. There is just a problem with a lag mouse or when I type in discord, I can see the letters appear after a little bit of time. If I stop the application, the system becomes responsive instantly.

I asked on the Folding at home discord if it was possible to limit the GPU % usage in the application but they told me that it was not possible. Some people said that they don't have that issue when the system is fully loaded on Linux so maybe there is a configuration problem on my Arch.

Does anybody here know how to find it ?

I tried to limit the power usage with nvidia-smi to 200W instead of the max 250W but it doesn't change anything. I guess this is related to the GPU usage (always 100%) and not the power.

Thanks a lot.
