[SOLVED] Try to run virtual using kvm+libvirt; no network

I want to run a virtual machine; that will connect to a wireguard vpn so I can keep my local computer running on my regular wifi; and have a virtual machine running in VPN when I need to pull/push files on my work server. I also want to access some services; like run a syncthing instance inside that virtualbox and access the web interface from the host machine.

I installed libvirt; followed instructions on the wiki for configuration. I have a virbr0 interface on firewalld so that works. I'm using the NAT network bridge option.

I was able to run an installation from the archiso. I enabled and installed networkmanager; but when i boot into the system; I can't ping anything. I get a

Ping: sendmsg: operation not permitted

; and mirrors are unreachable (says that protocol is not allowed)

How do I start troubleshooting this? I don't think it's my hosts' firewall (the protocols tab in libvirt zone says that icmp protocol is open; and I was able to ping and downfrom the archiso).

EDIT: Feel like an idiot. My vpn was blocking connections since I did not set it up yet.
