[ABANDONED] gnome-boxes - Folder shares not available

I want to add a folder share with a virtual machine using gnome-boxes.
However, within the properties of an arbitrary VM regardless of its OS and state, the field for folder shares is not shown at all.
I found this bug, but the screenshots there even show the folders section, which are not shown on my system.
This is what I have installed on the host (Arch Linux):

$ pacman -Qsq gnome-boxes
gnome-boxes
$ pacman -Qsq spice
spice
spice-gtk

The desired client runs Windows XP¹ in a qemu VM.
The spice client addons are installed there and the spice-davd service is running.

Why is the option to share folders not shown here?

[1] I need to run Win XP as a dev system, since we still got clients using it.
