Hi,
I have bought an internet USB phone just wondered if will work under Linux?
Skype does not see it so... I have to hook it up somehow ;-S

Try "Twinkle" in AUR and let us know how it goes.

check lsusb, if it appears in there then;
lsmod|grep '^snd'
to check if its drivers were loaded by udev, if not then find if its drivers are included in your current kernel.
It should be under /dev/dsp1, if your main sound is /dev/dsp0, use the latest BETA of skype for ALSA and OSS support.

I have /dev/dsp not /dev/dsp1 so I guess udev is not picking it up
lsusb does not show phone at all
although in usbview a device shows up echi I think
not sure where to look now
skype forums states that usb phone should show up as /dev/dsp1
Arch links /dev/dsp to /dev/sound.....
added snd_usb_audio but that did not help
Maybe could try running it through wine
