Internet USB phone

Hi,

I have bought an internet USB phone just wondered if will work under Linux?

Skype does not see it so... I have to hook it up somehow ;-S

check lsusb, if it appears in there then;

lsmod|grep '^snd'

to check if its drivers were loaded by udev, if not then find if its drivers are included in your current kernel.

It should be under /dev/dsp1, if your main sound is /dev/dsp0, use the latest BETA of skype for ALSA and OSS support.

I have /dev/dsp not /dev/dsp1 so I guess udev is not picking it up

lsusb does not show phone at all

although in usbview a device shows up echi I think

not sure where to look now

skype forums states that usb phone should show up as /dev/dsp1

Arch links /dev/dsp to /dev/sound.....

added snd_usb_audio but that did not help

Maybe could try running it through wine
