After a long battle with different problems I was finally able to play an Atmos over Dolby TrueHD 7.1 on Kodi. The last problem that I faced was partially solved. Basically I was trying to play A Dolby TrueHD 7.1 video on my monitor that is 1440p. However, I had hard time doing that. I had no problems doing that using Atmos on Dolby Digital+ as it requires less bandwidth because of the compression. I came across an forum on Nvidia, that suggested to reduce the resolution to 1080p under Windows to get it working. So I tried the same under my Arch desktop, and I was finally able to get it working. My monitor is 1440p, however, my projector that I want to watch movies, is only 1080p, so my problem is solved for now.
However, I'm not too sure what to do if I want to upgrade my projector to 4K. Has anyone ever had the same issue with Nvidia GPUs and Linux? I'm using the latest Nvidia driver and I own GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB: https://www.newegg.com/asus-geforce-gtx … 6814126170
