MuseScore palettes not displaying correctly

The palettes doesn't display correctly. I posted this on the MuseScore forums (you can see a screenshot of the issue there), but they said that it isn't their problem because the AppImage works without issues on Arch, meaning that the issue is with the package in the official repos, and that I should report this issue here instead.

I don't know whether this problem exists on other Linux distros, but since the AppImage version works, I have no idea why this problem occurs; maybe this is an issue only on my machine, although I've reset to factory settings, restarted, and reinstalled the program with the issue still persistent.

Re: MuseScore palettes not displaying correctly

It's not fixed itself yet, I ran it in a terminal to see whether any issues were reported, the output of which can be viewed here. It appears to have an issue with deprecated features, this might be the issue, but there's definitely a problem on line 27 of the Gist. Lines 43-55 also have issues. The GNOME theme being missing is most likely because I use KDE Plasma.

Should I report this back on the MuseScore forum or not? It doesn't seem to be reproducible by other people so far and it's something that prevents me from using the program at all.

Re: MuseScore palettes not displaying correctly

It's beyond me, but if it might be of help, the lines from that output that don't show up here are:

2-4
27-28
43-56
149

Re: MuseScore palettes not displaying correctly

Same problem here.

It is suggested on the MuseScore site that "I guess they forget to add some Qt qml libs."

If I run in a terminal I get lots of deprecation warnings and

qrc:/qml/palettes/PaletteTree.qml:152: Error: Cannot assign to non-existent property "color"

which is the same as in line 27 of the output referenced in #3.

Re: MuseScore palettes not displaying correctly

I have no issues with it here. By the way, these are the qt5 packages I have installed, maybe compare that with your list.

qt5-base
qt5-declarative
qt5-graphicaleffects
qt5-location
qt5-multimedia
qt5-quickcontrols
qt5-quickcontrols2
qt5-script
qt5-sensors
qt5-styleplugins
qt5-svg
qt5-tools
qt5-translations
qt5-webchannel
qt5-webengine
qt5-webkit
qt5-websockets
qt5-x11extras
qt5-xmlpatterns

Re: MuseScore palettes not displaying correctly

Downgrading all these packages to version 5.14 'fixes' things (but breaks the kde desktop, so it's not a practical workaround):

qt5-base
qt5-declarative
qt5-graphicaleffects
qt5-imageformats
qt5-location
qt5-multimedia
qt5-quickcontrols
qt5-quickcontrols2
qt5-script
qt5-sensors
qt5-speech
qt5-svg
qt5-tools
qt5-wayland
qt5-webchannel
qt5-webengine
qt5-x11extras
qt5-xmlpatterns

So this could be a qt5 regression, or a musescore packaging not up to date issue.

Reported as a bug in musescore, since there are no other reports of qt5 problems
