Consequences of not enabling Vulkan on chromium

I have the precompiled chromium-vaapi installed from the archlinuxcn repository, and forced GPU acceleration in chromium flags, and video accelerated playback seems to work. However, chrome://gpu still has

Enabling vulkan in the chrome flags breaks video playback, however if I use the older libva-intel-driver then I can seemingly both enable vulkan and have accelerated video playback. My question is should I be worried about chromium not being enabled and should I use libva-intel-driver over intel-media-driver?

Re: Consequences of not enabling Vulkan on chromium

I think this may be related: https://linuxreviews.org/Chromium_81_Is … Enabled%20.
It mentions the blank video player issue
