T440s with Ultra Dock, Acer XF270HUA

Wondering if anyone has had monitors go to a black screen every few seconds on 1440p, when using the dock.  What's weird is this has never happened using the mini DP on the laptop itself, only when using on the the dock DP's.  Any thinkpad users seen this?
