[SOLVED] timedatectl connection timeout

Hello,

I am desperately trying to set the correct time on my computer. When executing timedatectl list-timezones I get a connection timeout. Just so you know, I am connected to internet.

Where might this come from ?

Well, the run time for that command here is 15mS. 
As a sanity check, do you have an IPv4 address, and IPv6 address, or both?
What is the output of find /etc/systemd  ?
Are you behind a corporate firewall?
Are you behind a sovereign state firewall?
Are you behind a captive portal? (Do you have to log in through a browser to get internet access)

The connection timeout is more likely to be a dbus error. What does

$ ps -f U dbus

Return?

Assuming there is a dbus process running, can you run

# systemctl status dbus

If so, what is the output?

I'm really sorry, I feel so stupid. I know where it came from. I forgot to configure my /etc/hosts file.
