AppleDouble encoded Macintosh file

I do not know if this is the right category I should be posting this in, but I just got sent a zip file from a macbook and I am trying to open the contents on my arch installation. But I keep getting the error from sxiv image viewer that:

sxiv: Virtual-Control-Room2.jpg: Error opening image
sxiv: no more files to display, aborting

And when I do file the_filename, I get Virtual-Control-Room2.jpg: AppleDouble encoded Macintosh file. Any help please! neutral

Re: AppleDouble encoded Macintosh file

There are a number of converters available online, but I can't find any in our repos.  The easiest solution would be request whoever sent it to send it in a non-mac-only format.

Hmph ok. Thanks for the help. I was expecting this might be the only option.
