[SOLVED] Pulseaudio isn't being autostarted on boot

Pulseaudio has been working fine for about a day now. I just installed xfce4 to use an application that didn't want to open properly in bspwm, and now when i boot back into bspwm, pulseaudio didn't autostart. I'm not sure what logs would be helpful, so i will wait for someone to ask for a certain log.

EDIT: something seems to have automatically changed

autospawn=yes 

to

autospawn=no 

in /etc/pulse/client.conf. changing it back fixed it.

It is no by default, because pulseaudio is supposed to be spawned by a systemd user service. how are you starting bpswm ? Post your .xinitrc if startx and maybe

systemctl --user status pulseaudio{,.socket}

If you are happy with the workaround, you can also mark as [SOLVED] by editing the subject instead.

Even when i revert the autospawn bit back, it continues to work after a reboot. weird, something i did must have fixed it and i didn't realize. Marking as Solved.
