Window decorations and system tray disappeared in XFCE

I experienced a high CPU usage with XFCE in xfwm4 process. Slow changing of focus on windows, sluggines, irresponsiveness, etc. Somewhere I read that I have to kill the xfwm4 process, it starts again automatically, and then the slowdown is ended for a long time. This method worked for a few days, however today when I p-killed the xfwm4 process, it started again automatically, but a few thigs disappeared: the window decorations, like the X for closing the windows, and also the system tray itself with the start menu. I tried to reinstall the whole xfce package group, and even renaming the ~/.config/xfce directory, to get fresh config files after restarting the session. But none of them worked. What should I do to get them back properly, and what about the regular slowdown due to the high CPU usage?
