Horrendous Screen-Tear on Laptop with External Monitor

Hey there -
I have a Dell XPS 15, running two external HDMI monitors off of a USB-c to 3 HDMI converter.
However, the output from xrandr only allows for 30.00Hz at the 4k resolution (I can get 4k@60Hz in windows):

Need to know details about videocard , processor and such.
please post lspci -k and xorg log .

You are aware that usb-c / thunderbolt doesn't support HDMI transport ?

What happens is that your videocard generates a DisplayPort signal.
That signal is transported over USB and then converted from DP to HDMI by special hardware.
