TL-WN722N using ath9k-htc doesn't work event after kernel downgrade

I have a TP-Link TL-WN722N Wi-Fi receiver for my computer, but I can't connect to any Wi-Fi network.
I found out that there are some issues with the latest kernel that break the ath9k-htc module that the receiver uses. In that thread they suggest downgrading the kernel to 5.7.2 as apparently the commit that broke it was made in kernel version 5.7.3.
And I did, I downgraded my kernel using

sudo pacman -U https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/l/linux/linux-5.7.2.arch1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/l/linux-headers/linux-headers-5.7.2.arch1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zs

and rebooting.
At first it seemed to work because before downgrading, 'ip link' didn't show any wireless interface, and now it did, but when I tried connecting to my Wi-Fi network with 'sudo wifi-menu', I got 'CONNECTING FAILED'.
What could I be doing wrong? Many people seem to have managed to fix it by downgrading, but it doesn't seem to work for me.
