Re: Nothing can detect my display

Remove the nvidia-xorg generated config. You have an Optimus system, they are configured a bit differently than normal setups, read https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NVIDIA_Optimus for your options.

FWIW by the fact that it is just a 3D controller the nvidia card should be irrelevant towards display detection. If you were not to use the autogenerated configuration in the first place, display detection should work as normal just using the integrated intel card.

Re: Nothing can detect my display

So as you said removed the config, I tried installing `optimus-manager` and then when I tried switching to nvidia

$ optimus-manager --switch nvidia
ERROR: a GPU setup was initiated but Xorg post-start hook did not run.
Log at /var/log/optimus-manager/switch/switch-20200708T130130.log
If your login manager is GDM, make sure to follow those instructions:
https://github.com/Askannz/optimus-manager#important--gnome-and-gdm-users
If your display manager is neither GDM, SDDM nor LightDM, or if you don't use one, read the wiki:
https://github.com/Askannz/optimus-manager/wiki/FAQ,-common-issues,-troubleshooting

Cannot execute command because of previous errors.

I followed `https://github.com/Askannz/optimus-manager#important--gnome-and-gdm-users` this and installed gdm-prime
and the log
