I've had to downgrade gnome-shell and mutter to 3.36.3 because with the latest version, when I interact with gnome's icons/menu everything else stops responding. I have a few extensions installed but everything always worked fine until now.
Is anyone else experiencing these issues with 3.36.4 or is it on my end?
Edit: I see this in dmesg (but only with 3.64.4):

Presumably the same problem here, if I open the Applications Overview I then can't close it again and I can't interact with any windows. Only way to reset it is to logout.

Yes, that's what happens here (system menus or overview). Are you using dbus-broker too?

How can I check? Frankly I'm not that familiar with this part of my system. I downgraded now so I can't see the errors in my log anymore.

You can check by running this in a terminal: pacman -Ss dbus-broker
Anyway if you don't know about it you probably didn't install it, so I guess dbus-broker is not the culprit...

$ pacman -Ss dbus-broker
extra/dbus-broker 23-1
Linux D-Bus Message Broker

Ok, so db is not installed.

I had the same but removing `gnome-shell-extension-dash-to-panel` fixed it for me.

I'm also using dash-to-panel, so that could definitely be the issue.

Looks like it should be fixed by using gnome-shell-extension-dash-to-panel-git.

Ah, so it was an extension and had nothing to do with the errors in log. Thanks, closing.
