[SOLVED] Custom archiso medium does not boot in EFI mode.

I created a custom ISO image as described here.
These are my changes:

$ LANG=C diff -r releng hidsl
diff: releng/airootfs/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/iwd.service: No such file or directory
diff: hidsl/airootfs/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/iwd.service: No such file or directory
Only in hidsl/airootfs/etc: vconsole.conf
Only in hidsl/airootfs: opt
Only in hidsl/airootfs/usr/local/bin: hi_reset
Only in hidsl/airootfs/usr/local/bin: hi_restore
Only in hidsl/airootfs/usr/local/bin: mkhidslimg
Only in hidsl: out
diff -r releng/packages.x86_64 hidsl/packages.x86_64
2a3
> beep
4a6
> cifs-utils
Only in hidsl: work

The build went fine and so did the dd-ing of the resulting ISO on a USB drive.
When I boot it, it get the error:

Error loading \EFI\archiso\vmlinuz.efi: Not Found
Failed to execute Arch Linux install medium (x86_64, UEFI) (\EFI\archiso\vmlinuz.efi): Not Found

The vanilla archlinux-2020.07.01-x86_64.iso, however, boots fine.

How can I boot the custom image in EFI mode?

Goddammit. Of course it was a broken pendrive.
